"Nature doesn't hurry, yet everything is accomplished." - Lao Tzu (Chinese Philosopher)

Sometimes I wonder what it would look like if we didn't push against the forces over which we try to wrangle control. I notice more and more how exhausting it is to try to make everything fit - my time, my order, my space. It's almost as if I'm trying to create my own world with power I don't have, and with resources I cannot tame.
Every page of scripture points to YHWH reminding us that He has everything under His dominion. He invites us to partner with Him in stewarding the realm He has gifted to us. Yet, we struggle daily with understanding where the lines of stewardship and control are. Maybe the heaviness of daily living is a signal that we weren't meant to carry that which is beyond our capacity. The stress we feel from planning or doing could be a reminder that we should re-evaluate whether or not this exceeds our realm of time and resources.
When we worry, what we are actually doing is assuming power that isn't ours; wrestling with nature and the unknown to curate a life that was meant to be experienced and celebrated in the present. So what would it look like if we actually lived in the flow of God's gift of His presence and being present? How would our worship look if we only attended to what we are called to take care of now as He takes care of our needs?
What if, in the midst of the storm instead of raging against it, we rested in its ebb and flow?
